I had Bailey on Nutro lamb and rice and he did well, it help with the skin and allergies. I switched to Avoderm out of recomendation and because of all the bad things I have heard about Nutro. Now his skin is flaky, dry and more hair loss. Not to mention, new red spots!!! He has not even made the complete switch to avoderm, I am gonna stop giving it to him. Just not sure what to feed now. I am scared to go back to Nutro, but he did well on it. What about Natures best? Sold at petsmart, decent list of ingredients...please help!!!!

try ANY of the Natural Balance limited ingredients diets... they have a lamb and brown rice formula. It's available at PetCo's.
Another excellent one to try is the sweet potato and fish (salmon) it's got omega 3 and 6 which id GREAT for skin and fur. (B n J eat that variety) |

If anything, you can cook for your pup or at least until he clears up. But it is very worth it to get the allergy test done. It won't stop until you know what it is.

You could also try adding some fish oil to your pup's diet if you don't already do so. It should help with the coat.

I don't know what bad things you heard about Nutro but if it was working for your dog, why not go back to it? Or, since it was a lamb and rice formula, put him on another brand with similar ingredients.
