Now you are really lucky...in addition to the innovation of "Greenies" there is something that you can get from your vet that may work like a charm to calm them down and stop destructive as well as pooing and peeing behavior. It looks like a air freshner that you plug into your bathroom. It actually containes dog hormones and works like a charm for my two looney tunes. It is called D.A.P., dog appeasing pheromone.
wish i'd thought of it....I put one in everyroom they hang in when I am out of the house.

the vet told me that it doesn't work for every dog, however since weims have some of the most sensitive noses around (they are used in search and rescue as well as cadaver dogs) odds are that it is gonna work...
They end up looking like they are a bit sedated...maybe stoned
BTW I recommend keeping an extra store of them like heartwork meds or flea stuff....once you are with the program, you really don't want to run out....

We got that for KD. We think it works, sometimes. Don't buy it at the store, it is cheaper on the internet. Look around for the best price, we got it for about $25-$30. We also got the re-fill for about $15. I forget where we got it from?? It was either Petedge.com or Dr Fosters and Smith.

smelling hormones is what they do when the female is in heat and the male gets really stinky. Smelling hormones is ratural. It is healthier than drinking sodas or giving your dog some of he crap that is unhealthy but they like.....

I tried DAP before with Gus because he has seperation anixety. After two months I found that nothing changed, at all. I don't believe in this product at all. And if this product did work well, wouldn't you think that there would be a ton of other competitors out there marketing the product as well? I wouldn't waste your money!
