I am hopefully participating in my first transport this week.
I found two weims at the Floyd County shelter. They were weighing on my mind and decided to call the local weim rescue.
They got in touch with me and we are setting something up for friday.
I am currently not in the position to foster or rescue but I am always willing to help if it is needed in my area.
I am excited for the dogs, maybe a new chance at life. |

| Every little bit helps. Transporting is a very important part of rescue so thank you for all and anything you can do. |

We are just glad to be helping. My girlfriend and I are the proud owners of a two year old weim. She is so much a part of our lives and we are of hers.
I hate to know that someone could miss out on the same thing that we have.
But most of all I would hate to know that a weim, or any dog could miss out on the life they deserve. |

| By the way, there is a transport group on yahoo that does only this and they are such a wonderful resource of rescue, i almost feel that rescue could not be what it is if not for transporters. Let me know if this is smth that you think you might want to do in the future and i will Andrea the coordinator know so you can join the yahoo group. |

Yes... I second that wholeheartedly!!! And thank you to the rescues involved... you've saved my marriage once again, ha ha!
Here's hoping for a better future for both dogs... |

| I helped transport a Weim rescue last month. I actually picked her up from her owner and kept her over night and then took her to meet up with another transporter the next day. She was super protective and sweet with me but was a bit aggressive with my dogs and strangers and I was so worried about her finding a home. Well I'm happy to say that I was just informed that she has been adopted! It's a great feeling to know that I had a hand in that. Thank you!!! |

| That is great news and like everyone else said, every little bit helps, no matter how small or how large. The rescues appreciate any help they can get, so THANK YOU. I hope the transport went well. |

Actually, the transport fell through.
I was pretty bummed. It worked out though. The two dogs were picked up by another rescue then turned over to the Atlanta Weim rescue.
There was a mix up at the humane society. They are VERY confused over there. Which could be some of the reason they have three and four dogs to a kennel. |
