Ok..I know many of you are on weim addict but I think there may even be some I do not know.
I am the new Foster and Volunteer Coordinator for Tri-State and am working on contacting all volunteers to try and get a better idea of how our volunteers want to help and also let them know where we really need help.
So if you are a volunteer w/ Tri-State could you please respond in this thread with your name (dont need to put ure last name) and what you do with Tri-State or what you would like to do. I have been sifting through volunteer applications over the past few days and making a spreadsheet but I would like to officially know how many of our volunteers are on this site...and also invite anyone who doesnt already volunteer to join us.
If you are in the Tri-State area and just havent known how to get involved we are always looking for people.
We need people for sitting at booths for events, volunteering at our fundraisers, evaluating dogs in shelters, transporting dogs, interviewers, and DEF FOSTER HOMES!!!
Ill start:
Im Jamielynn- I have been doing interviews for the past few months, Grayce and I volunteer a lot of time at booths during events, I often do the photography for our events (the 5K and rescue picnic), and now Im the foster and volunteer coordinator |

KellyAnn (and Chris)
I do graphics for the storefront, transports, interviews and organize the raffles at the picnics. I also donate time for booths if I'm not already at my own booth. (But Chris always stops by w/ our dogs...) I love doing the holiday wrapping events, too.
I'm up for fostering SHORT TERM in a pinch if there's an urgent need to pull a Weim from a shelter near me until a long-term foster/adopter can be found. And that's IF the dog gets along w/ B n J.
I am willing to do Weim-awareness days to spread the word and get more volunteers/FOSTER homes in my area @ PetCo or Pet Smart or even boutique-y petstores.
I did an interview yesterday who is also interested in volunteering or possibly fostering (like our 30-day foster w/ the option to adopt listed on our site...) I'll pm you his gmail. |

Hey guys! Shawn Ruby. Ive fostered a few times in the past. Its hard for me to foster in the summer cause I work too much and we just had a new baby so im taking a break from fostering, (which is really starting to bother me) but Im ALWAYS willing to transport or do anything I can. The only problem is that Im all by myself over here in Pittsburgh so I dont see much action |

| Hi...my name is Lara! All I have ever done is a transport, but up for much more.....just let me know. Fosters are a bit scary since we have a cat and so many kids but would gladly take a foster that was great with both. |

JL - Karen here. I've been a volunteer with Tri-State just a short time. I just started doing application interviews, have volunteered at the booth and like to go to events I'm willing to transport, foster hopefully in the future and if I have the time will help with pretty much anything.
Simis - Tri-State is PA, NJ and DE |

Hi Guys. I'm Lynn Middleton and I handle intake for Pennsylvania and Delaware. When a dog in those areas needs a new home or to get out of a shelter, I'm the contact.
John and I try to attend as many events as we can, and will always participate in a transport. We foster when we can, but we kept one of our fosters (Jake) so that made four that we owned. But I sneak one by John when I can...
Tri State handles PA, NJ and DE (sometimes MD). We help in NY when we can. |

| Can I be a Supportive assistant volunteer? I told my husband I feel bad I don't volunteer, but I just can't seem to commit to a "time" on the weekends. But I'll do whatever I can when I'm at an event, and no problem advertising for Tri-State at my Trainers. |
