So I had to head back to work today after being off all summer long. Gracie and I got into a great summer routine of lots of trips to the dog park, hikes, long walks, etc. Gracie was watching and following me intently as I got ready for work this morning. I put my shoes near the front door and then went back upstairs to do something else. When I came back downstairs to put my shoes on, BOTH shoes were missing!!! I knew Gracie had to have taken them so I started looking around, with her following me. I finally found one of the shoes in the bathroom waste basket. I couldn't find the other shoe until I got home from work today...it was under the couch. I could only laugh at her because I knew she was trying to tell me something.
The funny thing is that Gracie has this association between the shoes I wear and what I use them for. Not too long ago, she went downstairs and came back up with my "dog park shoes." It was definitely a hint about where she wanted to go! These weims are something else, aren't they? |

Okay, so this is going to show how big of a dork I am. But here goes...
Your story reminded me of an episode of the Gilmore Girls where Paul Anka (The dog, not the real Paul Anka) took all of Lorelai's shoes and lined them up to Rory's door. Basically the dog was telling the mom that she needed to make amends with her daughter.
Okay, now I'm done being a nerd. But that was all I could think of. I'm wondering what Gracie was really telling you! |

| Marley flips out when I put on casual clothes like shorts or tennis shoes. She just knows it means it's time for a walk. |

| I can't believe you are insulting Gilmore Girls. I have seen EVERY episode at least four or five times. It is my favorite show. |

I love the Gilmore Girls as well!
I want to know how my dog knows the difference between my underwear and a bikini?? I mean he sees me put underwear on everyday and pretty much ignores me, he sees me put a bikini on and you would think I was Pam Anderson |

That is so cute. I bet she missed you all day when you were gone.
I also love the Gilmore Girls. Wish it was still on. I catch the repeats all the time. |

| Dogs are way smarter than we give them credit for. That's cute that Gracie did that. Gustav will get excited if I grab the mail box key (he goes with me to get mail) and when my boyfriend and I put our bathing suits on. He knows its time to go swimming!!! (we have a pool in our back yard and we have been giving him swimming lessons- he's doing great!). |

| Ha...Bailey know when I have to go to work too!!! I get up at 4:50am and he gives me the sad face the entire time I get ready. Sometimes he will stand in front of me and block my path to the door..haha |
