Near the end of August a friend took a young Border collie into her home to foster him until his forever family found him. A few days later he wasn't feeling well and went to the vet. Jack was diagnosed with parvo. My friend took him home, gave him subQ fluids, tried to get him to eat and she loved him as she does her own dogs. This afternoon, Jack went to the Bridge while my friend held him and sang to him.
Please send prayers for Jack, and for my friend.
Sweet dreams, Jack.... Run fast and free with the big dogs... |

Praying for your friend...that would be a hard situation.
It sounds like the kindness of your friend made Jack's last days full of love.

Thank you both.
Yes. I think that Jack finally understood he was a special dog and deserved the love he got. He was able to make a peaceful journey to the Bridge. |
