Any body check out this new show on the National Geographic channel? Its a pretty cool show. Its about this org. that rescues dogs. In the first episode they took in 22 of Mike Vicks dogs. It was pretty hard to watch. These dogs have been put through hell. But its good to know that these people are out there. I swear when i hit the powerball this is what im doing.
They were showing some footage of his fights and I was so mad and cussing the wife left the room saying " why do you watch this crap"!
The new ones about to come on. Fridays at 10. Check it out if you can. |

I love dogtown, that place is an inspiration. You can see the love and passion for wanting to help animals in the caretakers eyes, makes me a bit emotional.
There was a weimy in a commercial, very depressed looking |

i tried to record it, but cass was recording something at the same time, and i couldn't change the channel to put on soundscapes for hooch while he slept.. i watched some of it.. cass can't watch that stuff AT ALL.. so i had to cancel my recording. i'm sure it will be on again, and i'll try to catch it then. dogtown is awesome.. wish i could volunteer time there, too..
those dogs were so so cute.. how anyone can take such sweet souls and make them so frightened, is beyond me.. it's so inhumane and evil.. |

I saw the premiere of Dog Whisperer and Dog Town together, but the Cesar Millan episode had this story about these owners with 2 Pit Bulls having problems and it ended up working out and then goes into Dog Town with the Michael Vick dogs, they don't use any of Cesar's methods...They are trying to rehabilitate fighting dogs and I would think they would get involved with Cesar and his methods because he loves the Pit Bull breed.
On a side note...I think Michael Vick should be put on every apparatus that he had in his illegal dog fighting compound! Maybe he'll be put on a rape rack in prison! End rant. |

I watched that episode of D.W. too but i fell asleep towards the end. That was pretty brutal. I dont know what I would have done if that were my dog. Probably would have put it down
Oh, and Id be willing to bet Vick is being treated like a god in prison. At least by the inmates. He (and his cronies) should consider themselves lucky that i wasnt the judge that sentenced him. |

I saw the DW episode and Dogtown. How cool would it be to work in and with a place like Dogtown and the rescue that runs it. Did you see where the trainer went it and slept with Georgia?? He loves her so much. And I fell in love with the little black and white guy..the one that was so frightened. I can't remember his name right now.
It was a great show. |

| Small world.. The Weim on DogTown is actually Knightly, a dog that was just placed through our rescue. I talked to his "foster mom" today when I delivered her another rescue (oh, is he a little sweetie, too! this dog was a pleasure to transport! 48lb of 1.5 year old boy weimie that was abandoned at a truck stop. I figure once he isn't starved anymore, he MIGHT make 60lb as an adult, but not much more) |

Yes, Cherry...and I was very happy to see the guy that was so sick get better.
Chuck, I love that someone here had something to do with a rescue at Dogtown. I wll be watching for Knightley's story. He looked so scared for the few seconds I saw him. I am happy to know he is doing good. |

He was so stressed that they wanted him outta there PRONTO. Luckily one of our foster families stepped up. The reason he was there was that his owner was terminally ill... BUT he's a grand old gentleman of a Weim, and has charmed his way into a new permanent home. |
