I have a fenced in yard, but it's SMALL. HOWEVER, there is a decent sized dog park about 3 blocks from my house in bergen cty...And I heard theres another nice one in Montclair, /Bloomfield, NJ If JL can't arrange something at Ironwood, maybe we can plan something in one of those places...I'm not too far for NenaGunther, too...

I'm still going to Dog Days, but would love to get together as I'm not bringing Gunther on Sunday - 2 dogs without my husband is a little too much, especially with Gunther and his Woo-Woo barking fits!  |

I'd possibly be up for a WA get together in oct depending on when. I got 2 fire co things I can't miss on the 5th and 25th. Other than that I'm all for it!
Bout time I get to put some more faces to these screen names and wagging nubbies to these dogs. |

It held out here until @ 1:15pm. The small dog event would have been ok but large dogs would have been down pouring on and off. Im majorly bummed we had to reschedule it and that means some of you guys wont be able to make it.
Tell Kadin that I know Grayce will be lookin for him tomorrow so we will have to meet up again soon so she can see her buddy. Im sure hes bummed too
We can def plan something in October or November no problem. The weim rescue picnic that we had last May was in the pool area w/ no water in the pool. So we can still use that fenced in area..only thing is we will need to be cautious of the empty pool 
So we will DEF plan something..whether its at Ironwood or we find a cool dog park somewhere we can all meet...well figure it out. Grayce is always up for an adventure. |

ok so everyone that is coming..when you planning on getting there.
The small dogs are 10-12 but not many dogs are signed up so anyone is welcome..just will have to keep your dog on leash.
Large dogs 1-2 (I recommend def coming before 1 bc I do expect A LOT of people to be showing up right around 1 and could end up with a line out the door!)
I could always use help with set up
You guys are all welcome to come as early as you would like. Grace will be with me from 8:30am-10am than my parents are picking her up during the small dog session bc she WILL NOT be happy having to stay on leash at Ironwood since that is her play place..shell drive me nuts haha...than shell be dropped back off for the large dog session. I also plan to be there until after 3..so if you want to stick around and hang out dont worry I wont be pushing you out the door.
Concessions stand will be open serving pizza, hot dogs, and some snacks. |

oh and also we lowered the pool so that it will be a "zero depth entry" for the dogs...since many dogs will not jump into a pool from the side. It is still up to 10 feet deep..only difference is dog owners will be able to stand in what is usually our shallow end and the water gradually increases in depth like at the beach versus the stairs and jumping straight in being the only option.
Its still plenty deep for lots of doggy swimming though !! Just thought it would be better for some of those dogs less familiar with water. |
