I know, I was very shocked to read that. It's just so strange and so sad. I hope the person who owned him before never gets another dog. I hope the people I'm dealing with now never get another dog...I'll post that on the other thread though.
Again, I'm so sorry for what you're going through. {{{BIG HUGS}}} |

This is just awful news. I'm sorry that you had to go through the heartbreak after trying to get him out of a bad situation. Rest in Peace Link (aka Trink). |

I'm so, so sorry.
Sometimes the kindest decision is the hardest to make. He was clearly in a lot of pain, not physically but emotionally and mentally. He's at peace now. Who knows what his life was like, where he came from, or what he faced... but in the end he knew love from you and your family.
I have you and your family in my heart and thoughts. Hang in there.

Lynn,
I have tears for you and Link running down my face right now. I am so very sorry for your loss. God bless you for trying to save him and the effort of trying to undue someone else's mistakes.

I want to thank you all for your understanding and kind words. This has been extremely difficult for me. Most people don't understand that there are times when there is nothing we can do. If he behaved that way here and with me, what chance did someone else have of controlling him? There was a moment on Sunday when I thought he may bite me......and I know he loved me. NONE of it was his fault.
He went to the bridge a very loved little boy....I still love him.
Lynn

Lynn, I meant everything I wrote in that PM, I hope your doing better today.
This is the reason I could never be as involved with the intake and adoption as you are. If that guy lived as near to me as he does to you, He really wouldn't have a very nice day...trust me. And some of the other dogs I've seen brought in? My god I would probably go postal. People really do suck at times. |
