Amy, I hope I am not an offender of your children. I "try" to keep it clean in my home around the teenagers as well. They hear enough nonsence on the street, they don't need to hear it at home. UGH. I'm sitting here doing work/work.

HAHA! No Tracy - you're good!!!!!!!!

youhavenoidea, for them time being, I am not going to call anyone out specifically. The things that I am seeing are very clear, and if you came across the posts in question, you would see why. And I am very certain that the people that are involved with these disputes know who they are.

As far as the foul language goes, it looks like I am going to have to start implementing a language filter. I would really prefer no foul language, but in general I never really had much of a problem personally with words someone would hear on prime time TV. But there are certain four letter words that are really uncalled for. With a language filter, this will help with the accidental "slip" and hopefully keep young eyes safe.

With that in mind, I am going to invite all of you that are concerned about the language issue to go into the test forum and post a bunch of words that you would like to see filtered. Here is the thread that should be used: http://www.weimaraneraddict.com/discussion/language-filter-please-cuss-here-vt10903.html Enjoy! Hopefully it will help some of you get some frustration out. Smile

I think it might be time for a moderator . . . someone to say, "please be mindful of rule #4" or something of that nature. Although others on the board say it, it would have meaning from someone designated to intervene when necessary.

Oh, ick. Sorry you had to step in GG.

I do appreciate your 'less is more' approach and am sorry we've been out of line.

I am, by no means, a prude and can hold my own with any trucker or construction worker etc., that comes down the pike...but the "F" word in it's entirety, is completely inappropriate for this forum and is the one thing that will strike an annoyance cord with me. There is absolutely no excuse for this word, spelled out, here.

Thanks, GG.

BTW...how is Houdini????

I removed the word and apologized for it's use. It is not a word I use a great deal and I admitted that I got carried away when reading about how someone wanted to dump their weim in the woods rather than find her a new home.

Are you guys seriously going to drag the bickering into the announcement that I put up to stop the bickering???? I don't really care who said or did what; simply drop it. It is done. It is over with. The horse at this point looks like ground beef...

And... Now that we have a language filter in place to catch slip-ups, I hope nobody uses it as a safe way to cuss, or intentionally bypasses it. Either will tweak a serious nerve.

Very Happy MAN Looks like I joined a little to late to mis the good stuff.... LOL heheheheh j/k j/k well as a newbie I will tell you I have yet to find any slander going around about one particular person or place. So far the most passion I have read is frustration that I think we all feel about bad owners, puppymills, or weims who are dumped... no names used...that I have seen anyway... probably exist just haven't read it yet...

I love this site its very addicting perfect name! Glad to be a part of it! One question... how do you earn the paw prints? I am still a puppy...
