He was in pain up until 3PM, then his pain patch started comming off so we took it off, ever since he has been great, we even went for a short walk and he LOVED that. Thank you all for the well wishes. In times like these is when I trylu appreciate all my WA frieds, you just need a bit of moral support.
Oh, Iris, I'm so sorry Rocky had a rough couple of days. They gave him a fentanyl patch for a neuter??? That is some major medication and maybe a little overkill. I think it's possible he had a reaction to the patch. Scout got a 50 mg fentanyl patch every three days for pain management when he was at the peak of the HOD. That and a daily dose of derramax. Once he was well enough to get the patch off, we didn't give it to him anymore. He did eat it once. We thought he just lost it in the yard, but I found the whole thing in a poop several days later. Scout never had a problem with the fentanyl but he was in extreme pain. Even with the patch he still couldn't walk or stand very much. The only time he supported his own weight was to potty and there were a couple weeks in that time that we had to hold him up to go. The patch just made him comfortable. And he was only a puppy.
I'm so glad our Rock Star is doing better.
