How's it going?
We started on Thursday but I am going to go really slowly - I still have half a bag of core and I don't what to upset the balance we have.
I found a store with a loyalty program - 12 bags then 1 free which makes it $1.25 cheaper than WC per day! |

I don't know if it was coincidence or not with all of these different feeding attempts but Rosie has landed a UTI with too much protein in her urine. I can't figure out which food for sure would have been the cause, if indeed one of the foods was the cause, but annoying none-the-less!!
I do like Orijen, just not so much the price here. But I think she'll rotate with it because it is a great food...and she likes both the original flavor as well as the fish one (stinky!!) |

my computer has gone batty with the rain..sorry if the reply gets posted a million times!
Hooch is doing great with the transition.. i am very happy with orijen as far as poops, coat, eyes, ears and tummy goes.. he seems happy and very comfortable. i'll keep him on 50/50 until i run out of CORE, and then i think we will stick with orijen for awhile.. in a few months i'll rotate him with something else.. for now i am quite settled. |

I switched from Canidae to Taste of the Wild Prairie. They loved it and their pooh was firm. I thought I found the perfect food--so what did I do?? I thought I'd try another flavor--Fowl. Needless to say, they aren't doing as well on that--kind of gassy too. I will go back to Prairie on the next bag. Unfortunately, the bags are small (30 lbs) so they don't last very long with 4 large dogs.
Banshee would eat 6 cups a day if I let her, but she gets FAT, so I limit her to 2 1/2-ish cups per day, with yogurt and green beans in the morning, cottage cheese and green beans in the evening. Pumpkin if they need it. 6 cups per day would break me financially--and Banshee girl would be breaking the SCALE!

Great to hear!! We're still at 50/50 since we're moving slow but all is well.
We were at the vet for our first annual checkup and she said he's at the perfect weight so I want to maintain it.
He was such a charmer at the vet's. It was great to hear them all ooo and ahh over him and the new tech remarked that he was the best behaved Weim she had ever met. ***smiles*** I'm glad he can be a great ambassador but I'm quick to mention his great breeders and our diligent work. |
