We finally had nice enough weather for the birds to fly and the dogs to run!

Here's Macy at 4 months old...

We hunt grouse, which is our only "native" upland bird. We're also slowly getting into duck hunting. We try to go out west and hunt at least once a season. More if diesel and airplanes were cheaper! LOL

We also trial, hunt test, and play with navhda and nstra. we're slowly changing what people think about weims in this area...our weims run like the devil and hunt as hard as any shorthair out there!

This new pup we've got is freakin' awesome! (see our website for pedigree). She's already holding long enough for us to flush--the first time she did it I was just waiting for her to bust the bird and when she didn't I scratched my head and then flushed it for her. 10 times later I know it's not a fluke and this dog ups the ante every time I work her! Very Happy

Love it Meredith!
If she's anything like her parents, you are in for one hell of a ride!!! You know how much I love both of them. I always did love scouting for Miz JJ, she's such a fun little girl.
And am I surprised that she's holding for flush? Knowing JJ, nope!! My pups were the same way... of course we are related Smile
Look forward to hearing about her progress. See you at Nationals????
