Hi all,
I am over in Canada from the UK, staying in Ottawa, missing my Weim like crazy.
The reason I am visiting Ottawa is because my boyfriend and I and Mia are hoping to live here in a couple of years,
Can anyone who lives here please advise us what areas are best for people with dogs to live in.
Also advise it Ottawa has nice parks for walking dogs.
What problems are there here with other animals and dogs if any.

| I don't live in Ottawa but expect I might one day because my hubby is there every week for work. I came across this blog when looking for Ontario/Canadian stuff -- http://ottawadogblog.ca/ It looks like they have a little community that meets for walks. The owner of the blog might be able to answer your questions. |

I am not moving to Canada but this does sound like a nice place to live. I believe that they really love their dogs. |

Hi Amanda - welcome to the board!
My wife and I live about 25 mins west of Ottawa (we both work in Ottawa though).
Our little town is a pretty nice spot to raise a family and dog(s). Small town atmosphere and a TON of nice walking trails and dog friendly environments.
I know Ottawa has about 4 or 5 dog parks. Check out the website pepper posted - lots of good info there! |
