It's been a week today since Katie came home. She has really done great considering how long she was in the shelter and we don't know how long she was on her own before they picked her up. She has had NO accidents in the house at all! She has really been pretty good when we have had to leave them alone, the only things she has chewed up are her toys and just yesterday, came home to find the blinds on the front door chewed, but all in all, I think things are going much better than we anticipated. She has learned sit and down. We are working on stay, so far 5 seconds at stay is about all she can do! She is really a loving, cuddly little girl and we all love her so much. She's been really good with Trudi and Annie. Trudi just can't romp and play like Annie and Katie so she plays Grannie and watches them act crazy! Annie does really well with Katie but she has let her know from time to time who was here first! Nothing major, just a growl or two and Katie gets the message. Hopefully can get some new pics up soon. |

| She's so pretty! Looking forward to how she does. I want to rescue one and give Storm a friend, but I can't convince my hubbie. Since he is home with her more than me, I can't win the battle. |

Spoke too soon! Miss Katie decided to redecorate the living room yesterday by tearing the blinds down off the windows Then she tried to "hide" the evidence (as only a weim can do!) by chewing them up into little pieces and scattering them across the whole house! Luckly, she did not actually swallow any. Of course, Granny Trudi just laid there and watched the whole process and I am sure just kept thinking "wait till your father gets home!" I guess Miss Annie was trying to make the child listen when she said "DON'T" and she and Katie had a little tussell because Annie was limping at bit. I think just pulled a leg muscle a little cause she was fine before bedtime and was perfectly normal this morning. Oh, well, we needed to replace those blinds anyway, Katie just pushed us along.
If anybody needs any decorating tips, I can ship Katie overnight! |

Wishful thinking, I am afraid! My biggest worry is getting home before my SO does so I can minimize damages! Wish me luck. |
