Having lost my best friend and hunting paretner of more than 12 yrs...Misty. On the last sunday in april. I was in the market for a new best friend...Well let me back it up a little first. Misty came into my life with a bang lol! A friend had her brother Blue....and she was in a home(if thats what you want to call it) that was not good for her. Yes she was a wiem, She was my first contact with this breed. I've had bird dogs before but non like the wiems. So anyways...Me and my friend...ummmm...liberated her from said "home" and she came and lived with me. I have never had a dog get under my skin and into my heart like her ever before. At times I wanted to kill her in the most painful ways imaginable, but of course, couldnt.....and yet she brought the most joyful and crazy adventures into my life! She had a very good and spoiled life, That dang dog did. And when she left me...It hurt like nothing before. Mind you I'm 40 yrs old and a triple war vet. So I'm no baby...But that dang dog made me cry like a baby when she left.

It's been a year my old dog, I still think about you all the time. I spent a lot of time out at your bed with my two new girls today. I just want to say I'll never forget you and I hope your free and young again where ever you are. I'll always love you my Misty Moe. Crying or Very sad

Aw, Pat..now you got me crying again.

I still remember our very first conversation when you told me about her. I was in the supermarket bawling for you and for Misty. That was the first time we discussed Miss Ashley.

Some people say time heals all wounds, and that my be true for some things, but not when you lose your best friend.

Sorry for your loss Pat. As long as you keep her in your heart, you never lose her Crying or Very sad

I agree...nothing can ever replace your best friend. They can ease the hurt, but can't take their place.
