UGGGG!! I know this is the one place I can vent where EVERYONE understands this kind of day...sterling has gone just absolutely nuts...I have walked her for as long as I could today (we're having a cold snap out of the norm for our area) it's windy and cold as you know what, so I wasn't able to stand to take her on the beach to let her run free...well, she's letting me know that's not all right with her!
I have been busy all day trying to get ready for a craft show this weekend and a dog show next weekend (I run a dog/horse treat business and make collars, etc.) so I've had to spend a lot of time in the kitchen...Sterling has done everything to try my patience today...from digging up rocks and bringing them inside to chewing on my beautiful chair in the living room and being under my feet to the point I actually tripped over her and fell!! Everytime I sit down to sew a collar, she's right up in the chair with me...ALL 80 POUNDS OF HER! If I try to iron something, she's climbing on the ironing board..I know she needed more today than I could give her, but I also played "basketball" with her twice to try and wear her out...worked for three minutes..
Someone just tell me I'll get through this!! |

Of course you will get through it. They can be trying little buggers especially when we are short on time. My four have been barking since I got home. They usually get pretty shack wacky by Thursday and Friday just from being crated all week. And we have one more day to go. And I don't like to leave them out by themselves and it is COLD....so they aren't out long.
You know you wouldn't trade her for the world!!! Are things better with your JR's??
Hang in there....... |

They crave attention, much like a child, which is one of their most endearing qualities.
I am sitting here flanked by each and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Yes, you'll get through it |

I'm sorry you're having a rough day {{{BIG HUGS}}}
You WILL get through it. Maybe you should check out Mindy's (LunaBrown) post about the kong...give her something to occupy her for a while. |

Luna was having one of those nights too... Luckily shes still only 6 months old and gets worn eventually... as I type this one handed with the laptop to the left of me on the couch instead of my lap, because my lap is currently occupied by 45# of sleeping!
This too shall pass.. tomorrow will be a new, and hopefully better day!

Ahh..the kong. Sterling loves them, and she's already had two today plus treats that I am baking...she's getting fat..lol..
I know it will pass. Her daddy just took her for a walk to give myself and the JRT's a break for a few...sigh..
The jacks are still spending a lot of time in our bedroom. I can let my female out with sterling, but only if sterling is tired out. She's just too rough with the little one. My male is still growling at her when he sees her...he is getting better at walking by her if I have her on the lead.
We're going to invest some pretty hefty money into canine college after Christmas...we just can't do it now, but in the meantime, I'm working with playing with her and trying to teach her not to be so rough...not so easy! |

| That's why I was so excited that she liked the chicken broth! There are hardly any calories in it and it freezes very solid! |

Yup - it makes a heck of a mess, but it keeps her busy for alot longer than peanut butter or yogurt because it freezes harder!
I just gave her another one last night so she would sit still!
I had a thought last night while looking in the fridge hoping for something yummy to magically appear for supper though - What about unsweetened apple sauce? I think I'll give it a try! |

| I bought Ollie the new Snugga Wubba Kong for Christmas. You cant stuff anything in it, but he is forever sucking on his stuffed toys, so maybe this will sooth his sore gums too (his teeth are all falling out and new ones raging through....not a fun time to be a puppy) |
