Just seeing the picture of poor radar made my heart clench. that poor baby. i'm so glad he's found care. That makes me so sad. Whoever did that to him should be tortured the way he was. I hate people who mistreat animals!!!!

I cannot for the life of me understand how people can be so cruel. He had to have been chained or confined somehow because you know he would have at least been into trash cans looking for food before he got to that point. Even with him having worms he would not have gotten to that point had he been able to forage for food.

I may sound hateful here, but the owners need to be treated just as they treated that poor animal.

Heartbreaking and so sad....it made me cry too. Animals and children-HOW can people mistreat them and allow them to suffer like this?!?! Unbelievable.

I hope poor Radar continues to improve with the care of his foster mom.
Maybe someone on WA could adopt him so we could hear about him all the time....

After living in North Carolina now for almost a year, you would be surprised at the animals that end up in the shelters around here. I lived in Virginia before moving here, and no one EVER dumped their purebred dogs. The only dogs in the SPCA where I lived were unclaimed strays. You can go to animal control on any given day and fine beautiful purebred (probably registered) Labs, Goldens, Pointers, toy breeds (lots of Yorkies, Shih Tzu's, Poms and Poodles). Lots of them are in poor condition. All the shelters in our area just came off a month long quarantine after Parvo spread through them and lots of dogs had to be put down. They are all infested with worms because their conditions are so poor.

If I was out of this apartment I would pick up ever single unwanted Weim I found on craigslist or petfinder. And my husband actually feels the same way!

OMG. Crying or Very sad

That picture broke my heart. I just wanted to run and take him into my home. This is proof that not everyone should be allowed to own an animal and that much like an adoption process... there should be a thorough process before one is able to obtain such a beautiful furbaby
