Ok probably dumb question ??

Lucky usually poops alot usually 3 -4 times a day. Well I am worried because sunday he went on a spree and ate a part of a bar of soap and tore up a box of tampons. Well he had the runs a little for a couple days and then 2 days ago I gave him a rawhide bone and he has not had one for a long time well during the night while I was asleep he ate almost the whole thing. The last time he pooped was last night at the dog park and he is eating but it does not seem as much as normal. And usually he would have pooped by now. I am at work and my mom just went over to let him out and he still won't go. I am worried could the raw hide have bound him up? Should I worry or when should I worry?

i wouldn't wait too long if he's acting weird. did he eat any of the tampons? if there's an obstruction it can cause major damage. better safe then sorry.

I don't think he is acting too strange not lethargic his normal crazy self. But yeah I will have to watch it.

And how long does it normally take things that are eaten to go through the system? I mean he was poopin fine until today? So if he did eat a tampon on Sunday would he just be having issues? Ok I am a little freaked.

Has he pooped since sunday? Is he eating normally? Has he vomited? I'm willing to bet that he is fine, but all that junk can seriously mess up his GI system! My dogs all seem to have guts of steel, but I have heard of things like rawhide and paper towel causing blockages. Go with your instinct and if he hasn't pooped since sunday you may want to bring him to the vet.

Miss Juniepoonie gets papertoweling all the time and sometimes her belly looks disdended.

I'm wondering if the tampons could have Lucky plugged up; that is their function afterall...

I would give a bit of evoo in the food and watch. If Lucky still doesn't poop in another day, I'd take a trip to the vet.

No he has pooped fine up until today. I mean he had a little bit of diarreah on monday because of the soap and tampon issue on monday, but maybe its the raw hide messing with him. I have not given him one for about 2 months and now I know why they scare me and he eats them like they are going out of style. I will just have to watch him and if he does not poop by tonight we will be going to the vet !

Oh ok. Then it may be the rawhide. I wouldn't freak out yet.
