You were my inspiration. I knew that if someone had accomplished having four weims, it can be done!
Oh, I know I suffer from weim insanity, but I love every minute of it! |

...yes it would! I have been an extra wonderful wife the past few weeks. I had my masterminded plan already...
I was actually shocked that he said 'ok'. Well, sort of. He saw Astro and loved him. My macho, never sensitive husband actually said "He looks just like doodle bug! (Hemi, that's the name he calls him) He would be so much fun!".
My opened his eyes lids, looked in his mouth and he looked terribly confused. "Sorry, just looking for my husband. If you find him, tell him I am looking for him."
He gave me an inch, I took a mile and went to fill out the apllication. "I just wanted to get our names in there.", I said. I hope I am not getting my hopes up. From what they have been saying about other weim owners only, and from what AmyB told me as well, it seems like we have a great chance.
Before I was married, my mom and I applied a few times for a dog, turned down every time. So, I have my fingers crossed, saying my prayers... etc.
I would love to bring them home... soon!
The moment I know know something, I will wreak havoc in the path to the computer to get on here asap, and tell you all! |

Any word?! I can't wait to hear! I'm going to have to come visit if you get them.
Do you know why you and your mom were turned down before? Do you guys have a fence around your yard? |

When I had my first weim, Heidi, I fostered a pup for a week or two until his new owner picked him up. The two kept each other company while I was at work. I should have learned but it was not until I got married that my wife insisted we have another dog, a Springer Spaniel. So for the last 30+ years we have had a weim and a springer. Rowdy and Schatzie were two years apart and when both passed away a couple years ago we were without dogs. Last year we couldn't take it any longer without fur kids so we got two puppies. A Springer and Weimaraner. Udo is younger by 5 weeks. Now Udo is taller but Auggie is 5 pounds heavier. Two dogs however you slice it is best.

I'm really not sure. I'm just assuming that others were better applicants. The dogs we applied for before has many applications on them I guess.
Yes, we have a 1/3 of an acre with an 8ft privacy fence. |

"I hope you used all of our names from Weimaraners Addicts as references when you went and applied" I am sure you could always do one of those voting polls, print it off and hand it to the rescue, and have us all give our support for you getting both furbabies!
I will say some extra duty prayers for you....

I am going to visit them tomorrow, and Joey (hubby) is coming along for the ride. Once he sees them, he can never say no. He's a sucker too. That's why he steers clear of rescues, etc. But, I am a glutton for punishment... and I go moseying in... coming out with a dog.
AmyB - Do you think I could take pics of them..? I would love to put them on here for you guys to see! |
