Well, you know what I mean here... in shelters, kill shelters, emergencies, etc. |
I sure will.
That sucks. |

| I just read the whole thread over again. My post seemed a little out of order. So sorry that it didn't work out! I know it's disappointing, but the right dog just hasn't come along yet. Jackie |

Hey Britt, I'm so sorry it didn't work out. I know it's a bummer but when you finally do adopt another Weim or two you're going to know why this didn't work out.
Give AA Co. Animal Control a call tomorrow morning. A woman called me tonight and said that two days ago they had a Weim there. She inquired about him/her and they said that they are probably going to wind up sending him/her down to the SPCA because they're full....
I was going to call tomorrow too to find out about him/her, so we'll see. |

I called today - A very rude woman answered the phone and told me to come in. Weird - I just thought they might have a weim. If they have him/her, I'm taking them home right then and there! |

Yes, I can be there at 10 when they open.
A kicker - I do not own my own home - we rent from my mother. I had her send me a letter when I applied for the others hoping it would work... does this sound ok..
"
To whom it may concern:
My daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Joseph Lawyer live with me at this address. My daughter has lived here for 21 years, and her husband moved in with us several years ago. Brittany and Joseph have a self contained living area attached to the house, and have all the amenities of any home. They have paid me rent since they day they moved in, faithfully. Upon them moving in, I told them that they could have a few dogs. They currently have two Weimaraners, and they have been looking for a rescue to come live with us. Brittany is a very responsible pet owner as well. The dogs have not damaged any of the property, and she makes sure the property is clean and maintained well.
This letter states my approval of another dog coming into our home. We love our animals, and would love nothing more than to provide a wonderful home for another. My house is in a quiet neighborhood with a third of an acre fenced. This is an 8ft privacy fence. Although this is not a formal agreement, as we never made one, I hope this one will suffice.
Please feel free to contact me anytime via telephone. "
I have to stop at the vet's office 1st, and get another copy of Chevy's rabies papers - Joey threw it away by mistake

| I only have one weim and she is a handful. But I think part of that is because she is the only dog in the house. She is constantly under foot or within sight. I would like to have another weim because I think it would be good for Georgia to have a playmate. But I am almost certain my husband would NOT go for it without the right ammunition. |

That's a very nice letter she wrote for you. What a nice Mom you have.
I agree, that could be a problem, although it shouldn't. Some people may think, where will these dogs go if she has to suddenly move and can't find a place that will allow dogs. |

...Hopefully I can win them over with my charms. I'll bring pics of Chevy and Hemi
I don't think they will be that strict.
What is this dog like..? Did they give any details..? |

..Thanks again Amy. You've been phenomenal!
I have to talk this over with hubby too. My luck, I'd get this one, then I would get a call for Abbie and Astro too !
I'll see what he has to say. Put in a good word... |

| No it was just some woman that called me because she went in there looking for a dog to adopt and she saw a Weim and remembered seeing my ad for Seude in the paper. I've gotten SO many phone calls about the 2 in Annapolis. My phone rings off the hook because of that Pennysaver ad. |

| I don't mind the phone calls though...I like knowing if there is a Weim in the shelter. I can offer my assistance if needed. |

I had SO many people email/call/comment/ and even stop me on the street about Abbie and Astro. I can't even imagine how much buzz you heard from them! |

So, no weim at the animal control. He/she was redeemed by their owner! =).
BUT, today - my mother got a call from the spca asking for an ok for Astro. They are looking into my application now for him!! Yay!! I have been doing the happy dance all morning!
Abbie has many many applications, and they would prefer to send her home with someone else. She's a pup, and I think she'll adjust fine. I am not complaining, I might get him! Trying not to get too excited this time around. Hell, who am I kidding?! HOORAY!
So, I have a few names. I would like a consensus from you guys...
Hummer
Nitro
Cuda (like the Hemi Cuda)
here's a pic of him as well... what does he look like?
