New Weim Owners....MN

Hello and thank you for all of your wonderful posts! I have been using them quite a bit lately to help with our new family addition. I would appreciate any advice and info. you throw my way.

We acquired a 12 week old male Weim, Achilles, three weeks ago. We have two daughters 1 & 3. The three of them keep us busy. He is definitely a stubborn pup at times. He seems to love ...

New member from PA!

We have two dogs, one weim and one st. bernard. Maggie will be 2 in October. She's always been our trouble maker, and she's full of surprises. She sings to us in the morning, and she knows every trick we've thought to teach her (no doubt she'd learn more if we weren't out of ideas!). She is, however, a very unlucky pup, as we make monthly trips to the vet for injuries she incurred while ...

A Surprise New Weim!

We are excited to announce we JUST acquired a new Weim puppy, Kosmo! Completely unexpected: he & his brother had been abandoned at my friend's vet in Bakersfield. She adopted them, but his brother, Kramer (yes that is a Seinfeld connection) was bit by a rattlesnake (made a quick & miraculous recovery). Kosmo stayed a nite w/us, we fell in love, he went home. Turns out the two together = lots of naughtiness, which is ...

New from Indiana

I just found this board and have a girl that will be one Sept 3. Her name is Proffet's Misty Storm. Stormy for short. she is our first Weim and will definately not be our last! She is my baby and shadow. We also have a 6 yr old choc lab named Luke. Until Stormy we had always been a lab or coon dog family. Her personality and quirks keep us laughing and you just ...

Another WA in Maine

Hello to each of you. I've been "lurking" on the site for months, and decided today to join the party! I live with a beautiful female 3 year old Weim named Tessa. She was one of 90 dogs taken in by the Maine State Animal Welfare Program in late 2007. There were 90 dogs living in stacked dog crates inside a 3 car garage, and the breeder/owner was hoping to make $$$ selling his dogs ...

So excited to find this site! I am a weim snob, as my name implies :) Had 2 wonderful weims, Heidi and Bruno, for 13 and 11 years respectively. They were my babies and went everywhere with me loving riding with their heads out the sun roof or sunning in the convertible. I was heartbroken when I lost them, only 3 months apart. I had to have ...

New WA from Houston

I am addicted to Weimars and have been since 1989 when someone tied a frightened, dehydrated girl to a street sign in my yard. After a futile attempt to find her owners, Zoey became my 'soul' dog. I added another unwanted girl, Gracie, in 1993. After Zoey died in 1999, Gracie was diagnosed with Cushing's disease' She remained active and did well with treatments for a long while. During that time Gabby's owners asked me ...
