Loose Stool...HELP!

My 10.5 month old pup constantly has loose stool. I feed him TOTW and he eats about 7-8 cups of that a day. I had been feeding him 4.5-5 and he was not gaining weight and was actually losing a little bit so I brought him to the vet and after finding out he had giardia, in addition to antibiotics the vet also told me to feed him 7-8 cups of food a day. He ...

Frozen Food = Bloat?

I saw someone on here say that frozen food can cause bloat, but I have not been able to find anything else on this. Can someone elaborate/provide a source? I'd just like to know a bit more about this. Thanks!

Oliver needs to gain weight

My 18 month old weim is on the skinny side, which I would not consider out of the ordinary except that his hips are starting to show. He is currently on Blue buffalo wilderness, he gets 2.5 cups twice a day. Which more often than not he doesnt finish. Any ideas what we can to to get some weight on him? Different food, or anything I can supplement his diet with? He also is getting ...

Taking the plunge!!! Going Raw again! :D

Hey everyone! .... so after lots of reading, emailing, and reading... I have decided I am going back to raw for Bayliss.... (Dottie can join after she finishes the last bag of TOTW since she loves it so much.. B likes raw a lot more then Dottie, and wont eat the kibble at the moment). It's time to pick, which do I choose?

We'll be getting Kolya on Sunday and I'm extremely excited! I've got everything ready except his food because I'm still quite confused about what to feed him. To feed or not to feed grain free food as a puppy? High or low protein food/diet? What age to switch to adult dog food? Which brand? Ekk..! It's time to pick, which do I choose?

I'm still taking notes and trying.. but until I'm ready to go back to raw. How do you guys feel about the freeze-dried raw that you just add water to??? There are several companies that ...

Raw Switch

We switched Josie over the weekend from Natural Balance Fish & Sweet Potato to Urban Wolf, which is a raw mix. We needed to switch her sooner than planned, because she just could not handle kibble anymore. The amount of the raw food that she gets, compared to the amount of kibble that she had been getting is significantly less, probably 1-1.5 cups per day less. She has seemed much more tired since we switched... ...

not any better

Ok... here we go again. Gunner has been on Tagamet for about a week, although I am only giving him half a pill in the morning and at night. He seems to be eating better; he hasn't skipped a meal in almost a week. However... now his gas clears the room multiple times a day, and he has diarrhea, not just soft poops. Is that a side effect of Tagamet? We took him off the ...

Antidiarrheal foods

Hi All,

Well, there are NO more cans of pumpkin puree in any of my grocery stores. I can order some online, but I wanted to check what other foods are effective in firming up loose stools? Does sweet potato work? Those are really easy to come by but before I buy a bunch and cook them, I'm curious if they are fibrous enough and effective.

What else works?

Thanks much,
Lauren

Frequent Buyers Programs- looking for a new food

I'm looking for a new food for Zuna and the three Aussies. You are are my food experts.... So I figured I'd ask here. I got some OK recommendations from the Aussie Board. Petsmart now sells By Nature- they should start stocking it in the store soon. That's top of my list right now, and it has a frequent buyer program. But I'm open to other suggestions right now as I'm still looking.

The 4 ...
