Allie is a 1 year old Weimaraner rescue that has been with us now for about 3 1/2 weeks:

4:00 AM Allie is awake and wants to know why her family is still sleeping?1?! Being the considerate dog that she knows she is....she sounds the alarm by barking until 5:45 (she really does not understand what is wrong with her people....)

5:45 AM Finally up and out of my kennel cage. It is time to ...

Last night Gunnar developed a problem with his L hind leg, trouble walking, using stairs, it seems to be turning in. No injury and doesn't seem to be in pain. Gross exam is normal. Going to Vet today but, it's pretty alarming to us.
Might this be hip dysplasia? I had to carry him up and down stairs.

I mentioned in an ealier post one day that i have gone back to school. I will only been gone during the week and home for the weekends for 8 weeks at a time. I had to leave the pups with Matt and boy am I missing them! Not sure if i'm going to make it back to school after going home for the weekend with them! I talked to them on skype today haha. ...

We have been spending quite a bit of time outside and we both love it! We're practicing agility a couple days a week outdoors and taking long evening hikes. She's been getting attacked by deer or horse flys on the hikes, and it totally freaks her out for almost the rest of the hike. I noticed at agility tonight that there were about five mosquitos on her tummy feasting. I want to spray her down ...

I love my Allie more than life. My husband was diagnosed with extensive small cell lung cancer July 2nd and has been undergoing chemo and radiation. We are on a little break now but will start up again next Tuesday.
