Rash

Tucker has a weird looking rash on his belly its about 2 inches wide and about 6 or 8 inches long from his junk to the middle of his rib cage. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it. I mean he is not scratching at it or anything.

Any suggestions? Think I am going to give him some benadrill and put soem neosporne on it to see if that takes care of it.

How Often do you clean your weims teeth?

Okay, so I was reading someone else's thread on getting there teeth cleaned by the vet, and I didnt want to take over there thread. But my question is how often do you brush your weims teeth? I know I need to start doing it more, but what is a good rule of thumb? My girls let me a little, but not for too long... our doggy tooth paste is chicken flavored and I got ...

Troublesome Eyelashes

Ellie was at the vets again today, the second time in 2 months, for some troublesome eyelashes that are growing in the wrong direction causing her some discomfort.

The vet has referred us to an ophthalmologist to see what treatment options are available, but they think she will require a procedure where they freeze/burn the eyelashes to prevent them from growing back.

Ellie is our first weimaraner, so I wasn't sure if this was a ...

Lola has a growth in her ear...

Our Lola is almost two. About 2-3 weeks ago she started to get this growth in her ear. It was very small and red so it wasn't a concern at first but now it has quadrupled in size and is still red (almost as if it may have blood flowing in the growth). It does not bother her when you touch it. It seems that is only connected by a a very small area. Is ...

Vet Teeth Cleaning - HELP!

I have a 5 year old female Weim (Zoe).
She has what we believe to be a follicular cyst coming off of a side whisker. Our vet is going to remove it and run a biopsy on Tuesday.
While she was at her regular vet visit last month, the doctor recommended getting her teeth cleaned. She will already have to be under for the removal of the cyst on her face, so they said it ...

Weim just consumed an entire loaf of bread

Hate to continue on with the defecation questions - so my apologies :D

After much frustration, I finally decided Jake couldn't sleep in my bed anymore since he was having an accident almost every night. Now, back on his throne (couch) - he hasn't had an accident. That is good. But unfortunately, while I was sleeping, Jake 'took' a loaf of bread on top of my ...

Hunter's acting funny...

He keeps wanting to go outside. Like, constantly standing at the door to go out. When I take him out, he just stands around in the sun. It's been in the 90's with a heat index above 100 all week!!! This started a couple days ago when it first got so hot. And I don't have A/C throughout the house, so he's not too cold indoors. I can't figure out why he wants to go ...
