HI
I am Kathy from Southern Ontario... mom of Lizzie our 16 month old Weimador.
She is fun and loving.
Very glad I was sent here to this site... tons of interesting informative info.

Hi Kathy and Lizzie! Welcome from Wisconsin!

I was very frustrated when I first joined WA because I couldn't figure out how to post pictures, create a signature, or upload an avatar!! After many tries, I was successful

If you use your "User Control Panel" you will be able to upload an avatar and a signature! You will most likely have to go through tinypic.com in order to do so... once on tinypic, you will upload your photo(s) and choose to upload them as thumbnails. Once they are thumbnails, each picture should have an "http://" address that you can copy/paste into your profile under the "user control panel". I hope I haven't confused you... :roll:

Maybe others can give you more helpful, precise advice so you can put together a nice profile

Welcome, from coastal NC!

Here is (I think) the simplest way to post a photo:
My siggy & avatar were done by a WA friend; but for regular photos
I find this easiest (and don't worry, it took me months to figure this out).

You're in your post - or response.
Go to the bottom; click on "HOST IT."
That will bring you into ImageShack.
Click on "BROWSE."
That will present your own photos. Click on the pic of your choice.
Click on "UPLOAD NOW."
Resize - when offered the option - to 640x 480.
After these candy-cane-like things stop going to the right, COPY the "Direct link" thing.
Go back to your post, mouse up to "IMG" - click on that - two bracketed IMGs will appear.
COPY your saved photo to between the IMGs.
Look at PREVIEW to make sure it's right
