Well I just aquired a 12 week old Weimaraner! I got him and didn't know if I wanted to keep him since I read how much attention they need but I pretty much fell in love with him. I'm play college golf and go to school but hopefully I can give him the attention he needs. I decided to name him Gunner from his gunmetal coat and my roomate is going to train him for duck hunting. Any pointers is great! Thanks!!

Just take him out on the course with you! He can help find your balls in the rough.
Not that I'm saying you hit out in the rough a lot. |

I think it is great you plan to teach Gunner to hunt. I think that will be really great for him. Weims do best with both physical and mental exercise. I wish I could use Scout to duck hunt here but it is way too cold for her in the water during an Idaho winter. If you have specific training questions you might get a better response if you post them in the hunting section. Good luck! |
