I got my puppy about 3 weeks ago. I found him at a yard sale. The woman told me her son had moved and couldn't keep the pup. She had no idea what kind of dog he was and was happy for me to take him home. I had several people tell me is a weimar, so I looked it up. He sure looks like he is. I can't really tell if he is a pure breed, his ears look a little small. I have a scarlet macaw and so far they are getting along. The bird is helping teach the pup his manners.
I've named him Stirling. I'm lucky that I can take him to work for part of the day. He's really smart. He learned the sit command the first few days.[img]

Welcome to the forum!
He's so cute! I like his name as well...he looks similar to Danni when she was that small.
I love that picture with the macaw...priceless. |

Cute little guy. From the top photo, it looks like he could be a pit/weim mix. I have seen another that looked exactly like him. I would watch him with the bird. Mine will do anything to take off after a bird but could care less about other critters.
Good luck with him! |

| That looks like a purebred Weim to me with short ears, but hard to say with the photos here. Can you send a picture of him standing naturally from the side? |

He looks like a purebred to me, too. He looks like my daughters weim when she was younger.
Anyway, Welcome to the forum, you will love it here. |

What a cutie, my weim looks a lot like yours, he resembles pit as well when his ears flop back because hes small eared, but his conformation is that of a weim. I'm suprised anyone would sell a blue weim at a yard sale, youre pretty lucky
