Woohooo!!! Zehen has solid poos for once!!!!! =) Maybe I shouldn't be celebrating yet, but I'm half of the way through my first bag of Natural Balance sweet potato and fish and he's doing great! I've been adding in green beans, so he doesn't act starving anymore. I'm not sure he's too keen on the taste of it, he eats a little slower than he used too. But I'll pick up a couple cans of wet food to add, that should make him enjoy it.
My question is, do you all that feed Natural Balance religiously stick with one flavor of food or switch between the limited ingredient foods? I was thinking of doing two big bags of the fish, then switching to the duck for two bags and then switching to the venison for two bags. Do you think this will mess up his digestive system? |

IMO if you've found a food that works well after all you've been through - don't mess with a good thing! |

| I switch between the Limited Ingredients flavors and my dogs seem to like all the flavors and do well on it. Currently I'm trying out Wellness Core but I have a feeling that I'll be going back to NB. |

I rep for NB since my dos adapted to it so easily during the recalls of 07.
I've found the venison to be a bit rich for them so I stick to fish n "chips"
many folks I recommend duck n tater to do excellent on it and the veg and now lamb n rice are starting to catch on... I'd not switch off just yet and I'd also not add wet food if hes just getting solid poop now. the wet will bring runny poo right back. If he's eating too little/slow... add a pinch of olive oil or grated cheese for "flavor" instaed...
Glad to hear of your successes w/ NB! |

| Bailey is doing NB and doing well. He eats the fish and sweet potato. I am not switching because of his allergies, kinda smells bad but he loves it. |

Haus is doing great on NB Fish and sweet potato, so did my foster.
I'm not going to change one thing. I can poop scoop without the water hose.

For those who feed the Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish:
How many calories are in a cup? It doesn't say on their web site! |

| Ugh... I spoke too soon. Zehen's got his mud butt back tonight. Poor kid... Last night I fed them at work, so they didn't get their yogurt. So maybe that's why he's got diarrhea? I don't know. I'm going to start adding probiotics. See if that helps... if not, we are going to try to find a holistic vet. He's not living on a horrible prescription diet for the rest of his life, and he's not living on medication. I might have to break down and buy Seacure... It's expensive, but if it works... |

I heard there is a frequent buyers club for Natural Balance. Any one know about it? I couldn't find any info on it on the website so I sent off an email.
Zehen is going to be on this stuff long term I think. He's doing better on it than any other food he's been on. |
