Its almost 4 am no change in Zane...he still has not consumed alot of water...he can still go up the stairs to go outside.. with alot of coaxing, he did not pee. You can tell he is getting weaker...
These hours are not going fast enough...

Not terrible hot, it was around 88 today, but the boys only go out to potty and right back in the house. We also stay in the basement alot where its really cool.

Zane is at the vet now, they took a blood sample, he is very dehydrated, and mention of doing a xray on him is next. ??just wondering do they ever hook up dogs to a iv drip to get them rehydrated?? I thought that they might have done that already... They are waiting for the blood results now. The vet is also talking about maybe a blood transfusion. She thought that he was maybe too young to have any cancer yet, but that would show on a xray I guess...
Now the waiting game begins, Bill is trying to keep me updated....Poor Wyatt has been howling since they left. Since the boys are with each other 24hrs a day, I did not realize what a impact it would have on Wyatt to have Zane gone

Oh No! Poor Zane
They can and do administer fluids via IV for animals when dehydrated. Its perfectly normal.
I hope everything comes out okay Poor guy. He's in our thoughts and prayers, keep us posted!

| oh I am sooo sorry, keep us posted. I do know when my Sky baby was sick they "injected" her in the rear hind area w/ fluid. It will look like a big sack, that diminishes once the dog is becoming hydrated. She went back the next day for another one too, I could hardly get her to drink, I was squirting water in her mouth w/ a medicine dropper. Also, i do have a friend of a friend who's boxer had a blood transfusion. I don't remember why, but he was pretty healthy after all was said and done. |

They had Bo on an IV to rehydrate after weeks of bloody stools, he was on it for almost 48 hrs, he kept tearing the bag out. But it did help a lot!!! |

Zane is 2 will be 3 in September. So far no info on Zane's blood draw. Just talked to Bill... He said it seems like it is taking forever to get a response.
