I think it's going ok, it has only been 4 days so we are definitely still adjusting. One of my biggest concerns is figuring out their schedules, from being outside dogs, to being in a foster home where the foster mom was awesome but not home in the day time, to ending up at a house with two very excitable children who always want to play with them is a big adjustment for everyone.
Yesterday the boys were sleeping in the family room on their beds, I am teaching my kids to not bother them when they sleep but when I had my back turned my 2 year old must have snuck on Odin's bed for some snuggling, I heard a bark then the 2 yr old crying and holding her head. It really scared me but I think Odin just swatted at her head with his paw and scratched her. Since I didn't see it happen I just had the dogs go outside, they were pretty upset by the crying anyhow.
I can't wait until they are settled and we are in a comfortable routine so we can start training and playing more, they sure are lousy at playing fetch! |
