Hi everybody, Martin and I are new members, but definately not new to the site! My baby Martin is 7months and 69lbs. I woke up early this morning to his hacking like a furball was gonna come up! He does about six times, nothing comes up, and he goes on to his business. He's eating/drinking/running fine, no bloat, acting his normal ONRY self. But starts hacking after about an hour later. His breath smells sour when doing it, and i'm SURE he probably ate something he wasn't supposed to. (imagine Rolling Eyes ) My question is, at what point should I get my vet involved?

Can you get him to cough if you press against his neck? It sounds like kennel cough to me.

Tobey just went through the same thing. Sounds like Kennel cough. Make sure you keep him away from other dogs as a precaution.

Reagan recently had kennel cough and those were exactly her symptoms. It went away pretty quickly after getting her on medication.

Thanks everybody, I was a little on the nervous side that my "baby" wasn't feeling good, let alone the cause. The second day Martin woke up sneezing, but by today, back to normal!! MM.-
