The main issue was the introduction. He was really freaked out by the dremmel at first. Yesterday was actually the first time I sanded his nails with the dremmel. I got him tired by going for a run in the morning and then sanded the nails a couple of hours later. He sat/layed quietly while I did them all. No fuss at all.
+This gave me an excuse to buy another tool I can use to eventually break stuff around the house! Everybody wins!!! |
And the female gender wins, because a man just ADMITTED to randomly breaking stuff with the help of unecessary tools!
MILESTONE!
Mouahahahahahaha!

Wait a second; I never admitted to anything being unnecessary. Tools are very much necessary! Breaking stuff is cathartic! haha! |

I've never gone past a "2". And I didn't even venture up to that until I was pretty experienced with my technique. You really don't need to go past the lowest setting really. Not that you can have a big accident with it, regardless of speed . . . it's just that if the nail gets too hot (from either too high a setting, holding it on too long - you should be "zinging" off little bits at a time, or pressing too hard) I get the feeling it's ouchy for them.
It's not as intimidating as it sounds though. It'll feel forgeign the first minute or so for someone who's never used one, but you kind of get an "instinct" for it, if that makes sense. |
Me too! Never past 2 and if you go with the directions from the link http://homepages.udayton.edu/~merensjp/doberdawn/index.html
you won't have a problem. Both of our dogs are so relaxed with the dremel. |
