L'Oreal Event - August 16th

bummer.. i think i am going to miss grace's dive because of time at the TSWR booth.. but cass and hooch can go cheer her on! it was a beautiful crisp day today.. hoping we get a similar day on saturday.. so excited to hang out with all of you..

Well chances are you wont be missing much at dock diving...last attempt consisted of Grace barking (or more like chirping this high pitched bark) at the ball in the water...while waiting on the man to fish it out with his net hahaha.

Stupid dog flies into the pool, jumps off the diving board and I put her in dock diving and she whimps out.

The last time I put her in was in Feb so it was indoors..she did actually Jump the first night of the event..but than she just quit and wouldnt jump anymore...some people have told me that some dogs just wont jump indoors...so I guess well see what happens since this is outdoors. IF she doesnt do the practice jumps Ill be taking her out of the competition bc its just not worth it to stand in front of a crowd trying to coax her in hahaha.

Heres her wonderful attempt in Feb.

Nowww if theres anyone who might be attending thats free during the morning dock diving event I could use some help in handling her if she decides shes going to be jumping. I need someone to hold her while I throw the ball or vice versa. I can get her to do a sit stay...but Im not sure how well shell do with that and all the commotion.

i don't think we will get there much before 11, but if we get out early enough, i'll call you on your cell.. and come help you. maybe we should have a trial call, since the texting was so crazy.. Laughing

we'll be there bright and early... maybe I can take a break and come help since Chris and my mom will be able to take care of June and the NB booth for a bit.

We will be there early too. Shooting for 7 am so we don't have too much trouble parking.

we're concerned about such a long day for June, too...hopefully it won't be too hot and maybe Chris can sit in the truck w/ her for a bit if she gets ornery.

We are making a day of it, might as well because its a bit of a ride for us. We won't be there at 7am though Shocked

, gonna have to take my chances with parking and shooting for arrival around 9am.

I think I read there are going to be swimming areas to cool off the dogs. Very Happy

What a great day!!! The weather was great. It was warm but not too bad. Silkie and Gunnar are exhausted. It was so cool to see so many people and dogs from this site... weimamomma (Kelly and Chris), AmazingGrace (Jamielynn), Nenagunther (Karen and Seth) Hooch and crew, Tara, Cass and Kadin, Trene (Tracy and John) and we met Fran and her three dogs.

And the dogs had such a great time. Hooch is such a big love and Stormy is so cute. John wanted to take him home Wink

Nena and Gunther were so good. Silkie and Gunnar got to be kind of bratty when they got tired. Junie looked so cute in her little t-shirt and Sky is gorgeous. Grace did her dock diving and she is always a good girl. I missed Blue, Kelly's old man, but it would have been a tough day for him..same for Jake.

I am really looking forward to the Dog Days of September. We are going to bring all four dogs to that event.

That Loreal event is HUGE. But what a great day it is. John is sitting with ice on his leg....that is most walking he's done since he got hurt.

Jake is hilarious...I swear he knew we had treats when we came in. He kept trying to grab the bags out of our hands. So treats he got.

I hope everyone had as good a time as we did.

AW it was fun, HOT, and crowed. I couldn't believe how big it was. I wish I saw Grayce dive though. I love how everyone loves Stormy.... If only you lived with him.... His name suits him. We all just got up from a nap, time to do some laundry. Hope to see you all very soon!

Ok ill apologize now..im having a very hard time narrowing down the pictures...so here it goes..picture overload..prob going to come in several posts.
Thanks to Chris( and Kelly for helping on the dock during practice) and Cass for takin pictures for me during the practice jumps and splash competition.

Grayce dock diving...she jumped whooo hoooo!!!!! Thanks for everyone who came out and cheered her on (even if her jumps were baby ones haha).
