I swear he is the best dog. It breaks my heart that he didn't find me earlier in his life. He is my soul mate.
I put the three kids in their crates this morning, then told Jake, "come on old man, you're coming with Mommy".
We have a big duffel bag on the kitchen chair at the end of the table we don't use. It is for the kids supplies for dog outings. He went and stuck his big head in that bag. He was looking and looking around in there...and he came out with his leash. Not any leash....out of the dozen or so leashes, halters, harnesses, checkcords, etc. that we keep in that bag for outings, he found HIS leash. The one he came here with. He loves that leash. He walked out to the car with his leash in his mouth and jumped into the back of the car.
When we got to the vet's office he was the center of attention. And he loves every second of it. |

he's ok... had good and bad news.
We LOVE YOU JAKE!!! You are such an awesome dog!
Lynn, I wish he found you, earlier, too...we can't have enough time with old men...but we can snuggle them and love them hard every second we have w/ them!
