The pred makes him thirsty so he has to pee more. Last night after dinner he passed right out for the night. He never even got up to out the last time. I guess maybe he hadn't been sleeping as well as usual and the meds helped.
Anyway, poor old guy had to pee bad at about 3:30 this morning..I didn't even have time to get downstairs with him.
But he is such a good dog, he went right to the tile in the kitchen and went...did not go on the carpet. I know he felt bad but he couldn't hold it.
Silkie was so mad because she stepped in it...
God, I love that old dog. |

awww, poor boy, I bet he was embarrassed. I know Blue does that sometimes... these old men can't hold their pee like the young-ens'! 
How could you tell Ms Silkie was mad?! LOL We would have just laughed at Junie if she got pee feet! WE always get poo-feet at our huse cuz da doesn't always p/u the poop right away and someone inevitaby runs thru it!

She let him know she was mad....after I let them all out she stood at the top of the basement steps and wouldn't let him come up...she just kept barking at him in that scolding kind of way. I had to go up and move her to let him pass. Bitch.
And she was totally annoyed that her feet got wet.....doing the wet paw prance in the kitchen.....  |

Jake's breathing has gotten a lot easier at night. I laid in bed for hours last night just listening to him breathe..trying to hear something. No rattle, no wheezing. He still coughs occasionally, but I think the pred is doing what it is supposed to do.
I know he won't get better  I am just trying to slow it down as much as I can.

Lynn, Pred worked wonders for my MIL'S quality of life..her breathing was so much better and seemed less winded...I hope it does the same for ole man Jake...
