I got information yesterday about weim at the SPCA in my neighborhood. I was told he was 1 yr old. Then I spoke to the shelter and they told me he was 6 months old...
I planned on going at lunch today to check him out anyway, so I would know and get some pictures.
Well, he is just a baby...certainly no more than 6 months old. When the shelter attendant brought him out to me he was practically hanging him from the leash. Poor little guys eyes were bulging and all red...
You guys already know where this is going.....I took him home. John is going to KILL me but I just couldn't leave him there. Just keep your fingers crossed for me that my house is still on one piece. I managed to throw a crate together in the basement and I put Gunnar down there with him to keep him company. The other three are upstairs.
His name is Trink  I'm sure I won't have him too long.
If I can I will post some pics tonight. |

Lynn, you have the biggest heart out of everyone that I know... If John gets mad have him call one of us, we'll stick up for you!

Oh please...John's a man! He probably won't even notice, and if he does, tell him you ALWAYS had 5 weims! Sheesh, not only did he forget to take the trash out, but he forgot you had 5 weims !!!!!!! Men, hmf!

OMG you are such an awesome human being i cant even begin to explain. The little guy has no idea how lucky he is  ! Where in PA are you guys? Man i am trying to get another weim but i have to wait until we move at the beginning of August. We just bought this older home bc it had such a huge yard for Rocky and i keep telling myself and the hubby who is freaking out about the mortgage payment, that i really want another weim, definitely rescue!
PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU CAN , post some pictures of the little one. Dying to see him! |

He looked that way because he was practically being strangled. By the time I got to my house he was giving kisses.
I am thinking of calling him Nick...it sounds close and I don't want to confuse him. I am going to check with Julie. |

Good for you! You amaze me with your ability to have 5 weims at once - PLEASE, if you can, since I'm sure you have TONS of extra time with them all (sarcasm emoticon has yet to exist) post a video, I can't imagine what it would look like to see 5 weims in one house

I will get some pictures of them. I plan on staying outside with them for quite a while to tire the little guy out.
Silkie seems fine. He had a fascination with Jake's butt that didn't make Jake real happy, but he was a good boy. Once the younger dogs came out, Trink forgot all about Jake....I'm liking Nick, too.
Trink is just weird.... |

Oh no, I have no intention of keeping him. As cute as he is, he needs some training time and with John out of town and four already that just is not possible. Besides, he should get to go to someone who can cater to him. He is only a baby. He will have fun while he is with us though. But I truly don't think I will have him too long.
He still has his puppy nose/snout...it hasn't gotten long yet... |
