| Just curious to see who does the grooming at home, and who goes to the groomers... |

The only time we have ever walked into the groom side of the vets office was for Wyatts free coupon to have his nails chopped... We might have to take him in again...otherwise its the tub, or the hose out back...

I took my two once, and they did a miserable job. They were smelly in a few days. Never again.
The only thing that gets done, are the anals. I do everything else. |

We used to take Glacier about once a quarter. She NEEDS professional grooming, but it just stresses her out so much that I won't do that to her anymore. We just do the best we can at home.
Now the weimies, oh, they are sooooo easy to groom! Kam didn't like water, but Bo loved it and so does Darby. I only gave Darby a bath once, but it was fun and she likes it! |

I voted both but I wash him at the dog wash. We have dog wash stores all over town. They supply the tub, water, soap and conditioning. The parents do the washing and then they do the ears and toes.
Derek and I both get an ice cream treat after wards |

LMAO AmazingGrayce!
I was going to say the same thing about Danni! She's gets bathed when we're either in Rocky Point or Lake Powell or doing UT work!

In the summer, they get washed outside with the hose. It's quick, we don't get the bathroom dirty and they dry fast.
In the wintertime, they get bathed in the tub by my husband and I dry them with a towel and hairdryer. If he's traveling and it's just me, they go to the groomer.
I wish a swim in the river would work but the either end up rolling in mud or something dead!
Oh and I've used those dog washes while visiting my parents in Ohio - those are great! Every car wash should have one! |

| Once a month in the tub by me. And he puts up a fuss... which I don't understand since he swims and plays in water a lot. My game plan for the next time is to fill the tub and keep throwing in his Kong until he's clean. Then mop the floor. |

Marvin rarely gets a bath but he swims at least once a week when the water isn't frozen over. Other than that a good brushing and a wet towel works wonders. I love the weimy coat!
Zaphod gets baths as he needs them - muddy, horse poop days. About every 8 weeks he goes to the groomer cause the one time I tried to shave him at home made us both embarrassed to go out in public |

I had one of those shaving moments with Spike too! He goes to the groomer for his haircuts - my husband won't let me near the clippers again! For baths as needed he goes in the shower with me. |

| We have taken Mischa into the pet store where they have a dog washing station. Thought she would like their tub better than our own since it has a rubber floor. It ended up with me soaking wet, even my hair was dripping and her crawling up me to get out of the tub despite the groomer's loop she was attached to. The best part was that there is a giant window so everyone could watch the spectacle. Haven't done that one again. |

I used to bathe dogs at the kennel and groom show dogs so I could never pay somebody else to do such an easy job. I've clipped dogs before too but not at work, just for friends. I haven't been trained to do pet cuts but I would rather attempt it myself than shell out the money to do it. I'm VERY frugal. |

Car wash for Hunter ...LOL......I tried to bath him the other day outside after Shadow had her bath and no way..he ran like a baby and sat on the top step...then I tried the bath tub and he high tailed it out of there too
Thank god he likes to swim in the water at the lake
I'll just lather him up between dips at the lake |
