Just found this site, thank goodness thought I was the only one with this addiction, I drive everyone nuts talking about my guys, one super silly weim and a stuffy corgi, they are the odd couple as dogs!!

I'm sure everyone here would agree that we are obsessed! Can't get enough of all the good info and funny stories. It's so nice to have the opinions, expertise and interest of fellow weim owners when we need it most.
A warm welcome from Pensacola, FL!

Hi Pam,
Combined training, where did you ride? I have a stable in Marion, mainly dressage focus, but we do a some hunters. Our weim should now qualify for her instructors license with all the lessons she's audited Very Happy

I had to custom sew coats for my dogs. They are too deep chested for anything in the store. My mother knitted them sweaters, but they hate them- anything that restricts the legs aren't so great. I haven't tried this, but I think a calf blanket might work. It would be about the right size and just has one strap that snaps under the belly. Good luck!

Hmmm let me think It was almost 30 yrs. ago!

The farm in Barrington I can't remember it's name. It was right off of Rt. 6 behind Eileen Darling's restaurant. That's where I trained. I don't think it is there anymore. They had a decent x-country course and held some nice events. B. A. Dario's daughter ended up buying it a few years after I left.

The farm in Rehoboth where I did some competing was really nice. They had a lot of events there. They had a very nice X-country course. I wish I could remember the name of the farm. Fox Lea Farm was another place that I rode at. Roger Williams college always had a good mini-trial.

I went to high school with a girl who was a VERY good dressage rider. Her name was Anna. She ended up just missing making it for the Olympics one year. Ugh I can't remember the name of their farm in Rehoboth. I went to some dressage clinics there. Her family had a woman from S. Africa who was the trainer there.

Oh I am going to show my age now! I was in college when Dorothy Morkis was living nearby and won a bronze medal at the Olympics.
