Hi all.
I finally got my Weim this past week and disaster has struck. My job has just drastically changed over the past few days and my time is going to be completely gobbled up. I'm single, so there's no one else that will be able to be with the dog and this job change looks like it's going to be long term for a while. I don't really have any options for people to take care of her during the long periods I'll be away.
So, I hate to do this but I have to find a more appropriate home for her.
She's 3 months old. I have her registration papers and she's up to date on her immunizations.
There's no adoption charge or anything like that. Payment will be a good home for her.
Here she is:

I am so sorry you have to give her up so soon after you've adopted her, how very sad!
A couple of thoughts/questions:
Did you get her from a rescue group or breeder? Chances are they will take her back.
If you got her directly from another home, have you contacted them?
Good Luck... I wish I could be more helpfull from all the way up here in Minnesota. |

I got her from a breeder but I don't think they'll be able to take her back.
I'm talking with them now about anyone they know that could take her but I haven't heard back yet. I figured I'd try here, as well.
It really is a sucky situation. I hope I can get this done relatively soon so we don't get too attached. |

I swear she posed for that picture. She was lying there when I came up with the camera. She sat up until I took the picture, then laid back down like she knew she was done.
G-Smith and I are discussing her, by the way. |

My wife and I are giving the adoption serious thought and consideration... We hope to have an answer very soon. We are just making sure we will be able to give all of the dogs the amount of love and attention they so desperately crave... Those weims. are some high maintenance dogs as you all know.... |

excellent news. G-Smith and his wife have decided to adopt her, so Layla is going to have a little sister soon.
I hate that it had to happen like this but I'm eternally grateful that I was able to find a good home for her. |

Glad to hear a happy ending (even though I'm sure you're not happy to lose your new Weim)
Thanks you GSmith for rescuing her! |

Oh, we will post many pics.... We are so EXCITED.... A little nervous about the transition but, VERY EXCITED.... I feel bad for lazybum though... I can't imagine having to give up my girl due to work. I know after speaking with him that he is not happy about having to give his baby up for adoption. But then again, who would be?? She is coming to a very good home, so everyone can be happy about that... I will keep everyone posted and I will also post pics of the new puppy this weekend. |

Absolutely!! I have told him he can even come visit if he is ever in my area.. We live about three and a half hrs. apart though.. I am going to pick our girl up tomorrow It will be a GREAT DAY! Someone posted "thanks for rescuing her" My wife and I consider this an "adoption" because she is coming from a loving home, and lazybum only wanted the best for his baby.. Anyway thank everyone for your concern and we will be posting many pics of our new dog and family very soon... |
