Please God help Pepper pull though this difficult time in her life!
I am glad she was found and i pray that the horrible person that hit her and left her gets what he deserves from God, what a horrible person.
Please keep us update! I know its been a few days so hopefully she is doing better. |

Sorry I have been really bad with her updates, but my baby is doing AWESOME!!!! Needless to say her care has been a bit demanding of my time! I picked her up from the ER Vet Saturday morning (8/2) and transported her to our vet. He did xrays, checked her literally from head to toe. So, fractured pelvis, damaged nerve in left hind leg which she was dragging initially, and we feared she may have to lose it. I'm happy to say that she is doing wonderfully!! She is using that back leg more and more every day. She still limps, probably due to the fracture, but she amazes me! Her drive is just incredible. She has been an angel about resting and taking it easy. She has figured out what she can and can't do.
I carry her upstairs every night and put her in bed with me. She is 50 million times more loving than before and I never thought that was possible. She is my velcro dog...wherever I go, she is right there with me. She is able to go out and potty, but I have to be standing right there with her, which is a good thing after this ordeal! She has put some weight on so she doesn't look like a famined dog anymore! That forst day I brought her home, I had to carry her outside and hold her up so she could go potty...I don't know how I did it, but I did...I slept downstairs with her, I literally had my hand on her all night long so I could feel her move if she needed me. This went on for about a week, then she was more mobile so I carried her upstairs with me. Eventually she started going down the stairs by herself, hopping on 3 legs...against my better wishes, but I couldn't catch her in time..crazy dog! So, all in all she is coming along so much better than I had initally planned....My prayers were answered in so many ways. She is the light of my life and I can't imagine a day without her! Thanks to you guys for all of your well wishes and concern. I hope nobody ever has to go thru this. If I could figure out how to post pictures on this site, I'd show you some of her before and after pics....I use shutterfly as my host site, and I still don't know how to post on here.....so, we are on the upswing here, but still taking it easy. We're not going for walks for a while yet and I'm avoiding situations where she may get too rambunctious. So I'm basically a homebody for a while, but its ok, I get lotsa cuddle time with my fur babies! |

What awesome awesome news!! I'm so glad she's getting better!
I want to see pics of Pepper so I'll do my best to help you out...
On shutterfly does it give you an IMG Code? If so, you can just copy and paste that right into your post.
it would look something like this

Or if they provide you with some kind of link (as long as it ends in .jpg) simply put it in between .
Hope that helps! |

| When I post on the Lab wesite I belong to, I right click on my pic in Shutterfly, click properties, then copy and paste the host address....is that what you mean? So I don't have to click any tabs up at the top to post the pics? Just copy and past the "properties" address? |

I don't think that will work as the link does not end in .jpg - the link you have in your signature doesn't show the picture, just the link, but if I click on it I can see the pic.
Unfortunately, I can't get into shutterfly from work to double check it for you, and I use Photobucket for my hosting, which provides me with the IMG code right underneath the photo. I simply paste that into my message and don't need to use the tabs at the top of the "post a reply" page.
Maybe someone else can give you more guidance!! |

Do you have different types you can select from when you try and load the pictures? Such as: webpage, email etc?
The pictures are JPG -- according to the properties on the pictures... |

She was soooooooo skinny when I got her back!!!! It was creepy...she looked like one of those dogs you see on Animal Planet Animal Cops....
I couldn't wait to fetten her up, but I didn't want the extra weight to make it more difficult for her to get around or put more stress on her "good leg".
So she is up to a little over 60 lbs now (she was 50 when she was brought in) and she was about 60 before she got loose. I'm certain she ate grass while she was out and about as she is now part goat!!!! She eats grass EVERY time she sets foot outside. She doesn't yak it up either...daft little creature she is! |
