I am glad that I have found an excellent substitute to my cat (who stays with my mom)!
So last night, I just got out of my part time job and had only one desire in the world--to shower. I pulled down the shower curtain, as we sling it up on the rod when we take a bath--lest Cloud scrambles and pulls it down.
In pulling the curtain down, this big...black...roach! It flew down at the exact second that I turned on the hot water. I started to keep the door closed when I showered cause I ended up freezing by the end of the cleansing of the air conditioning.
I fling the door open and I scream "Cloud!" Cloud comes in immediately, going into action. He went straight for the tub, scrambling, searching for the offensive Flying Terror of Doom! He got it in his mouth and trotted to the kitchen and I went to tell Part how awesome the puppy was--which was the exact instant that he let the roach go. I squealed (cause I am really that much of a girl with roaches) and hid behind Part, who went to the doorway to peek at Cloud playing with the roach.
I showered and walked in the kitchen, finding the roach to still be alive. I called Cloud once again and he played with the roach some more until he got bored and went on to play with his new toy we got (big tennis balls with a rope looping them together.)
Such an excellent hunter--just like my other boy (my cat) and they both respond to me crying out their names in fear! Which sadly, usually means there's a roach within reach that they can get to. Hehehe--and oddly, I went to bed spooning the Cloudhunter while Part played Wow. |

| LOL!! I just moved to the east from Oregon where roaches did not exist. I strongly considered getting a cat for pest protection, but Winston has happily taken over. He will play with the roach, carry it around in his mouth a while, and when he tires of it, he'll eat it. The crunch still makes me cringe and I won't let him kiss me until he's eaten a lot of mouth-cleaning food. |

| I love these hunting dogs, my boy Bullet caught a mouse the other day and I praised him so much he decided to make a gift of it to me, and left the wet slimy chewed up mouse on my pillow. I found it that night when I went to bed, needless to say it was a nasty surprise! |
