Sophie is gone... We dropped her off last night for her Spay (today)! She's going to stay at a boarding kennel until she's healed... She's already posted on petfinder and after just one day she's already had a call, so it's quite possible she will not come back to us!

She is such a sweet girl, good luck baby! Soppy / in love Sophie Soppy / in love

OMG, so fast!!!

Bo goes for his neuter tomorrow, and he's still not on petfinder. I think the rescue is waiting until we get his marking under control.

Congratulations on a job well done!!!!!!!

Absolutely! Hubby and I were talking about it on the way home last night, and I think even after we get our puppy next year we may consider continuing to help once the puppy is trained!

To be continued... Smile

now if i could just get through that puppy training part, i too would be ready to do this. i keep saying we are going to join the fostering fun, but i took on the role of board pres. for a local non-profit, so on top of work, im losing up to 20 hours a week on that... so hard to do my girls justice... much less another dog. this is only a 1 year commitment, then i will have a smaller role, and riley will be a year and a half.

i was considering fostering, but i think i might end up just like lynn with jake ( Wink ). me and my husband don't think i would be very good at letting the dogs go. once i had to keep 2 puppies for my uncle for 2 weeks and when it was time to let them go i cried for a week straight. it was very hard....so i am not sure i would be very good at it...

I hear you. That is exactly how Banshee came into our lives...and why I have FOUR dogs! I agreed to "foster" Banshee! Needless to say, I am no longer allowed to "foster" any more dogs!

It's very hard to let them go. With Jake though, I was afraid we would keep getting him back. He would not have been the easiest dog to place. Keeping him was the best thing for him and us.

I love my old man!!!!!!

Awwe... Thanks everyone! Smile

As of yesterday, Sophie was resting at the boarding kennel. The rescue coordinator sent me a quick e-mail to let me know that she was doing okay. "A very resilient little girl" - but no word on being adopted yet! I was kind of hoping she would be adopted in the next week or so... if she comes back to stay here I could get in ALOT of trouble with hubby.... We'll see!

I don't know why she hasn't posted pictures yet, I sent some to her... http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=11000760
