charlie is nearing 6 months now and we were wanting to get on to two meals a day. what is the best way to do this? do i gradually give him less at lunch time? do i just stop giving him lunch? also i come home at lunch time (obviously) and i know he associates this with lunch should i stop coming home or again should i still come home but not feed him?
i have a feeling that the poop eating might get better if we go down to 2 meals well hoping anyway! |

| I don't know about the coming home part, but I'd just start minimizing the amount you give him at lunch until you phase it out. If you still want to come home at lunch, give him something else to look forward to, such as a walk, a quick game, some yummy treats, etc. He probably doesnt' care much about the lunch, as long he still gets to spend some time with you! |

iris yes his own and others! he not fussed we trying other methods too.
i would feel guilty not coming home because i love spending as much time as possible with him! who doesn't! he's left normally from 8:30 till 12:30 then 1:15 to 3:30 at some point i wont be able to come home at lunch time so i'm looking to the future. when i finish work at 3:30 we go straight out for a 2 hour walk. |

In the past two months we have cut Jaeger's meals down from 4 a day to 3 and now to 2.
I probably should have done the changes gradually but I didn't. Luckily he didn't have any problems
Good luck with your dog! |

| Just drop the mid day meal, it should not be a problem. |
