Curious as to what other weims weigh at 6 months. The 16th of this month Petey will be 6 months old, and i weighed him a few nights ago and he was 55 pounds. Not chunky at all either.

So what did your weim weigh at 6 months, how old he is now, and his weight. Just trying to get an idea as to how big he will be

My male puppy will be 4 months in a week and he is 34Ibs, not sure he'll get to 55Ibs at 6 months, sounds like Petey will be a big boy.

Perfect weight for 6 months for (or should be) a Weim at maturity to be 26 1/2" to 27" tall (no shrimp) and in breed standard. Trigger weighed in at 55 lbs. at age 6 months and he should mature as mentioned above.

to measure a dog, you measure from the top of the wither (top of the shoulder, just after the neck) to the ground. Easy way to do this is to stand him next to a wall and mark it with a pencil, then measure that.

My boy weighs 50 lbs.

everyone kept telling me he was going to be HUGE. I guess it was not so true. poor Amie

EDIT: I just weighed him last night after I posted this. He actually weighs exactly 55 lbs ironically. He's 6 months and 5 days old and he's 25 inches (at shoulder) in height. SO, I'm relieved now!

Ranger is 48 pounds at 5 months and all legs. Sounds like we are on the same pace!

Jaeger turns 5 months in 10 days and he currently weighs 45 lbs. I think you are on the right track. Sounds like he may just be on the larger side of the weim scale.

looking at your 6 mos pics makes me giggle my weim at 6 mos was all legs an ears. He ate like a horse but would run it all off in the field. Every time we took him for a walk people would stop us to ask if we were feeding him properly. I'll upload a pic.

My weim boy is almost 6 months and is around 45 or a little more now. I get the same thing from my parents when they say I'm not feeding him properly when in all reality he eats 3 times a day and the correct amount. That's just what they look like. He sure is getting too big for me to hold anymore!

Connor weighed about 45 pounds at 6 months. When he was 1 /12 years old, he weighed 68 pounds. At 7 years old, he weighs 72 pounds. He is 25 1/2" high at the withers. He is within breed standards. I originally thought he would be bigger and was a little disappointed also. However he is so handsome now and I am not sure how I could have handled a bigger dog!

My friends think he looks thin also but the vet says he is perfect weight. I think the reason folks think they are too thin is that their hair is so short and you see their body outline. Dogs with long hair tend to look bigger! I would rather have a thinner healthy dog than one that has gone to fat as some weims do when their owners feed them people scraps too often and don't exercise them.

Pete weighed under 50 lbs at 6 months. The reason I remember is because we went to get heartworm medicine and they gave us 6 mos worth for 50 lbs and under! We told them he would get bigger but they weren't believing it. A year later he was 80 lbs and not an ounce of fat on him.
