For the record, posting about a dog in General Weim Rescue is cool. It is a great thing and may help a dog find an owner. HOWEVER, this forum is not for opinions, comments, and speculation about why that individual is giving up their dog. So I am asking everyone to help keep this forum on track and keep in mind that this forum is to help dogs get rescued!
We have had a few people slipping, so this is just a friendly reminder.
I firmly believe that educating people about conscientious ownership is important. However, after someone has made the decision about rehoming is not really the time to start that discussion, especially in the General Weim Rescue forum. You have no idea what circumstances have occurred that has made that person come to that decision, and the General Weim Rescue forum is not intended for the purpose of questioning that decision. The way I look at it is that either A) the owner can't care for the dog, or B) doesn't want to care for the dog. Either way, the dog is better off somewhere else. And in the very least if someone is looking to rehome, the dog isn't getting neglected, shot, dumped, or left at a shelter to be euthanized. All of which are easier than trying to find your dog a good home while being ridiculed for doing so, and I don't want it to be that way here. The General Weim Rescue section is strictly for rescue and rescue logistics. Please keep the posts free of everything else.
