Our male weim is about 8 months old and about 55 lbs. This seems small to us. At what age do they stop growing?

He's got a long way to go yet! A lot of people say weims can grow until they are 2-3 years old. My Butler is 1 and a half and I notice him filling in and gaining weight every week. He's about 80 lbs, at 8 months he was probably 65ish.

At one year they are about full size and probably won't get much taller, but they fill out a little more after that.

I think I remember Derek was growing at 5 pounds a week for a while, and then he slowed down so it seamed that it was stopping. At 10 months he appeared to stop but he is filling out. Also his weight changes depending on the weather and how much we work out.

I have a 6 year old that weighs 60 lbs and a 2 year old that weighs 92 lbs. So I can't really help you, on the other hand how does he look and what does your vet say.
I have a dog and sometimes I'll be the littlest kid with my dog and marvel at his ears and his nose and how he looks at me. If he died, I'd bawl like a baby.

My two reached their full height the first year and filled out early the second year. IMO, an 8 month old at 55 lbs is going to be anywhere from 75-85 lbs full grown.
Leroy is 7 years old and weights 76 lbs
Lucy is 5 years old and weights 59 lbs
they are both very fit.

jax has been right around 75 lbs since he was about 7.5 months, but he was a little chubby and has gotten skinnier-looking, but stayed the same weight. his paws are still huge on him though so we're thinking he's going to top out around 90-95 lbs. his dad weighs about that much and is a BIG dog!

Slade just turned 1, and I figure is about as tall as he's going to get. He still has quite a bit of filling out to do however.

Ranger is now 10 month and at 62lb. Our vet said, that he looks great.
I think he pretty much reached his height but I notice him filling out.

It depends on the lines, diet and environment. Typically they'll be their mature height around 10 - 15 months of age, and fill out for another year or so after they stop getting taller.
