I am sorry to start a post like this, but my mother and I are desperately looking to see if anyone lost a Weimaraner in Alabama with in the past 2 months.
He is a beautiful silver male and doing very well he has a collar but no name or address attached to it. He is in very good spirits and extremely friendly.
If you happen to know of anyone that lost a dog around the Chilton County area in Alabama please let us know we would like to return this dog to its original owner rather than take him to the rescue! |

I am sorry if I posted this in the wrong area, if it needs to be moved please feel free to do so.
Also if you mean by cross post to a different web site yes please do.
My email is duomaxwell9@hotmail.com
My mother has the dog and she raises and shows Irish Wolf Hounds and Deer Hounds, I myself just love dogs in general and I own a Corgi and Miniature dachshund.
I am military and get sent out alot and even 2 weeks without my dogs drives me nuts I cannot imagine how the owners of this dog feel. |

Yes, anne is asking if it is OK to post this on other sites/forums etc. so it will get more exposure.
And the post is fine here, but I will move this where it will get a little more attention for a while. By making it an announcement, it will show up on the front page for us.
Good luck! |

| Good luck finding the owners. I'm sure your have already notified all of the animal shelters near you, maybe you could try calling ones in other counties and nearby states. Someone from another area could have stolen him. Also have you tried posting on www.Craigslist.com ? |

Thanks for the replies, my mother has been doing alot already I just thought I would help because she is not to internet saavy.
She has notified the shelters and has already called the rescue, she will not take the weimy any where that might put him down.
I know the rescues should be able to find him a home he is such a good dog, I was just visiting and I played with him for hours in the yard each day.
Great dog very well tempered and a hoot to play with.
Thanks for the replies and suggestions, they are greatly appreciated. I just cannot believe that someone could lose such a beautiful dog. Oh well if we cannot find the owners I am sure he will be put in a good home, he will just need room to play as these dogs have alot of energy. I guess having a Corgi and Mini Dachshund helps out!!! |

| I don't think they found his owner. I think they took him to a local rescue. |
