| I guess it would help if I went to the pet store across the street from me instead of thinking it would be at the fancier places huh??? I didn't know they had cat food as well. I might try Boxer on a new food too. Get them both happy! |

Hi All,
For years I've always fed my dog Innova Kibble. The standard one. If I had to describe her poop, it would be on the mushy side. Since then I've had to turn into quite the poop expert since her GDV... she's had melena and wasn't hungry, etc.
Now, I've been adding some of the canned for taste, as well as some white rice to firm it up. Works wonders! She's always been super lean so I've got the freedom to add the rice as I wish.

Was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of or tried Merrick brand pet foods? Payson has been on Nutro Natural Choice and Nutro Max since he was a puppy. Lately he hasnt been finishing all his food. I found this at the pet store. Payson seems to really enjoy it. From what I read it seem to be a good brand.

A lot of dogs get soft stools with Innova, although it's a good food. It's just too rich for some dogs.
Canned food is excellent! Because the canning process sterilizes thefood, there is no need for additives and preservatives. Also unlike kibble where you must have approx 50% grain to make it into kibble, canned food can be close to (and some are 100%) meat. |
