Here in the past couple of weeks, I have had some time to do some behind the scenes things to try to increase our membership. And as time goes on, these things will help, but are not immediate.
So with that in mind, I also want to promote our site by having some contests or something. Things like photo contests, or maybe a "best blog" contest, or an article contest to get some articles rolling in. We might even have a referral contest. Who knows, but the point would be to promote new membership and get the current membership even more involved.
So at this point, I will be taking suggestions. The prizes I currently have are the stuffed Weimaraner named Hans, the Weimaraner Tote bag, the hardcover book Wegmanology by William Wegman, and a Weimaraner watch.  More prizes to come too. What would you do for these fun things?
I have been trying get smaller things and things easy to ship, in the case that someone in another part of the world wins.
Comments? Suggestions? Ideas?

How about greatest or most embarrasing moment in weim history?
People could share their stories and get rating on how impressive or embarrasing the event was. I'll start with the day Mieke did his impression of a 47kg bowling ball. He ran at me full tilt, my guess is 35km/h( 20mph ) and took my legs out from under me. No damage but as I got up he spun around, dropped his head and I swear he said to me, "did i do that? I mean to turn a bit more" |
